Perms, root lift & down perm

Compare texture, volume, digital waves and local shaping without confusing the service names.

10 questions · Menu details and practical consultation notes

Prices follow the confirmed menu. Unspecified steps or fees are marked for confirmation. General care and safety information does not replace a hair assessment or medical advice.

01How much is a perm at 3AM?

AirFlow Texture is S$188 / S$288; Korean Air Volume is S$288 / S$388; Soft Wave Digital options are S$388 / S$488 / S$588. Root Lift is S$148. The higher price does not mean every curl is automatically easier; compare the stated care and design scope.

02What is the difference between texture, volume and digital perm?

The 3AM menu uses texture for subtle movement, volume for a fuller outline, and digital waves for a more defined wave design. These styling goals can overlap. Ask which process and placement will create your reference instead of choosing from the name alone.

03What does the S$148 root perm do?

Crown Lift Root Perm is S$148 and is aimed at lift around the crown, not a full-length wave service. Point out the flat areas and your usual parting. Confirm whether it is being booked alone or alongside another separately priced service.

04How do the $128 and $188 down perms differ?

Side Down Perm is S$128 for the sides; Full Contour Down Perm is S$188 for a broader contour adjustment. Ask which areas would be treated and whether a haircut is also wanted. The menu does not automatically include a cut with the down perm.

05Can I ask for C-curls, S-waves or a Korean airy perm?

Use the photo to discuss the shape, not as a guarantee of a copy. Show where the curl starts and how loose it should look when dry. Your length, layers and daily styling time affect the plan, so ask for the practical routine as well as the salon finish.

06Can fine or flat hair have a perm?

First decide whether you need root support, movement through the lengths or less bulk at the sides. Ask the stylist to assess the current condition and the load of previous services. More curl is not automatically the answer to every flat-hair complaint.

07Can I perm previously bleached hair?

It requires an in-person assessment; it is not automatically suitable because a care option is added. Bring the full bleach, dye and smoothing history. Discuss whether a non-chemical styling approach is preferable until the lengths can be assessed.

08What do the care-perm prices include?

Care Texture S$288 and Care Wave S$488 list perm-care essence. The Korean Care Volume and Custom Wave options should have their exact proposed steps confirmed in consultation. Do not assume all higher-priced services include the same product or a haircut.

09Will a perm mean I never have to style my hair?

Do not choose a perm on that promise. Ask the stylist to demonstrate drying direction, product use and the finish without intensive salon styling. Explain how many minutes you realistically spend each morning so the proposed curl suits that routine.

10Can I perm and dye my hair together?

Tell the stylist the exact products and previous services before combining chemical work. The sequence and spacing should follow product instructions and your hair assessment. Do not book both solely to save a trip; ask which goal should take priority.
