Haircuts, layers & daily styling

Discuss length, layers, bangs, blow-drying and a hairstyle that fits your own routine.

10 questions · Menu details and practical consultation notes

Prices follow the confirmed menu. Unspecified steps or fees are marked for confirmation. General care and safety information does not replace a hair assessment or medical advice.

01What are the haircut and wash-and-blow prices?

The menu lists men’s haircut S$58, women’s haircut S$68, director’s haircut S$128 and wash-and-blow S$40. Children under 10 are S$38. Ask what your selected appointment includes before adding other services.

02What haircut suits my face shape?

Use face shape as one part of the discussion, alongside hair density, growth direction and styling habits. Bring a reference and point to the feature you want to emphasise or soften. Avoid a rigid rule that every round or square face needs the same cut.

03Will more layers make fine hair look fuller?

Not automatically. Discuss the weight at your ends and where movement is wanted. Ask to compare a fuller perimeter with a layered outline, using your current density rather than a reference with very different hair.

04Should I try curtain, airy or side-swept bangs?

Tell the stylist how you part your hair, whether you tie it up and how much time you have to style the front. Compare the dry shape and the maintenance of each reference before cutting; a name alone does not tell you how it will sit on your forehead.

05How do I choose between a bob, lob and long layers?

Compare the lengths against your shoulders, usual tying position and styling routine. Bring front, side and back references if possible. Agree on the shortest point before cutting so a name such as “lob” is not interpreted differently.

06How can I grow my hair while keeping a good shape?

Agree on a minimum length to keep and the areas needing shape. Separate removing unwanted bulk from shortening the whole outline. Take a reference for the in-between stage, not only the eventual long hairstyle, and confirm any trim before the scissors start.

07For men’s thick sides, should I choose a haircut or down perm?

Ask whether the outline can be managed by a cut or whether a chemical down-perm service is being proposed. Compare appearance and maintenance, not just the first-day result. The haircut and down-perm menu prices are separate unless expressly included.

08Is a wash-and-blow the same as an event updo?

No such inclusion is stated in the menu. For an event reference, show the image, accessories and required finish time, then confirm availability and a quote. Do not assume the wash-and-blow price covers specialist bridal or pinned styling.

09Can you make my hair exactly like a photo?

A reference helps agree on direction, but the plan must account for your actual length, density and texture. Ask which features can be matched and which need adapting. Confirm the length, shape and styling effort before starting rather than relying on “exactly the same”.

10What is the first-visit hairstyle design privilege?

3AM’s first-visit privilege is a complimentary consultation and a complimentary hairstyle design service on your first visit. Bring your reference, preferred length and daily routine. Confirm the design-service scope and any subsequent service quotation before proceeding.

External references explain general concepts; they do not imply that 3AM uses every product from those brands or is endorsed by those organisations. Confirm the salon service, scope and total before proceeding.
