Colour prices & root touch-ups
Understand the four colour ranges, care options and the 2–3cm root-service boundary.
Prices follow the confirmed menu. Unspecified steps or fees are marked for confirmation. General care and safety information does not replace a hair assessment or medical advice.
02What does the Polan $128 option add to the $88 colour?
Both are Polan colour services. The S$128 care option adds colour-care essence. It is not listed as a bundle of scalp protection, a full treatment and a haircut, so there is no need to choose between two supposedly different dye brands.
03What changes in the Shiseido and L’Oréal care options?
Shiseido’s S$380 option lists scalp protection and colour-care essence alongside its S$280 colour option. L’Oréal’s S$480 care option focuses on grey coverage and after-colour softness alongside S$380 colour. Confirm the exact L’Oréal care steps; do not assume every care label has identical inclusions.
04How do INOA full colour and root colour differ?
Full INOA colour is S$580, or S$680 with scalp comfort care and colour-care essence. INOA root colour starts at S$168 for the specified 2–3cm regrowth area. The lower root price does not cover refreshing the full length.
05What does a 2–3cm root touch-up include?
Root touch-up covers the new growth area, not full-head colour. Basic Root starts at S$68, Care Root with colour-care essence at S$128, and INOA Root at S$168. Regrowth beyond 3cm or obvious colour banding needs a quote before service.
06How much is bleach root retouch, and is toner included?
Bleach Root Retouch is S$148–S$180 for the specified 2–3cm regrowth area. The menu describes root lightening, not an automatic full-head toner or repair package. Confirm toner, treatment and any band correction before the total is agreed.
07Do I need a root touch-up or full-head colour?
Compare your goal at the roots with the goal through the lengths. If the lengths still match the colour you want, discuss root-only work. If the ends are faded, patchy or a different target shade, ask for a separate refresh or correction plan rather than calling everything a root touch-up.
08How often should I book a root touch-up?
Use visible regrowth, contrast and your comfort with it to plan, rather than a universal calendar. The price boundary is 2–3cm, not a promise that everyone reaches that length after the same number of weeks. Ask for timing appropriate to your scalp and colour history.
09Does a colour price include bleach or a haircut?
Not unless explicitly stated in the selected service. The menu lists bleach and bleach-and-colour packages separately, and haircuts are normally separate. Before starting, ask for a line-by-line total that identifies colour, any lightening, care and cutting.
10What photos should I send for a root-colour quote?
Send a clear parting photo showing regrowth, plus the full back length in neutral light. Mention previous dark dye, bleach, henna, straightening or reactions. Do not use a beauty filter that hides the difference between the roots and ends.
External references explain general concepts; they do not imply that 3AM uses every product from those brands or is endorsed by those organisations. Confirm the salon service, scope and total before proceeding.
